Ben Powell - the official handover

Ok this wasn't the actual first time Ben got his hands on the Saluda, but as we were both there at the Bristol guitar show and someone had a camera, we thought we'd go for an official handover shot.

Ben's guitar is a Saluda Cutaway. The back and sides are cocobolo, the top is Italian spruce. Ben spec'd out a custom neck profile, with extra width and wider string spacing at the nut and bridge to suite his unique fingerstyle playing.

The guitar is also fitted with Highlander iP-2 Dual source pickup. I have to say I was blown away by the clarity and very natural, dynamic response of this system when plugged straight into our AER compact 60. Ben plays it through a Highlander PAMDI twin channel semi parametric EQ pre-amp / DI box.

Anyone attending the Ullapool guitra festival in October will be able to hear Ben and all the gear first hand.
